Fancy a coffee ?

New lease of life for this typical Parisian bistro located opposite Gare de Lyon. The Emma Roux studio conceived and designed a verdant and calm ambiance for this high-footfall premises. The brasserie interior is now a haven of floral, tropical and jungle inspired décor. The designer has added a modern twist with splashes of bright colour: Emeraude green to symbolise the garden and pink to energise the space.

The link to Nature has been carried through to the choice of materials and furniture with wicker armchairs, light oak tones and untreated wood. Table tops made from Volvic enamelled lava stone earned their place in this project due to the transparent colour and strength of this material. The search for specific colours resulted in the selection of the shade of pink sought by the designer and her desire “to bring the tables to life”.

Once the final design decision had been made, the Pyrolave workshop set about producing 27 table tops - with more than 10 manual stages to the manufacturing process carried out in the South West region in France - before edging them with brass. This finishing touch was added for aesthetic reasons as well as to strengthen the enamelled lava tops to protect them when the tables are moved about in the café.
